⚠️ Heads up! This is an old post from the archives ⚠️
While I no longer offer wedding planning services, I do encourage you to take a peek at my more recent wedding paper work to see how I’ve evolved as an artist.
The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve is an awe-inspiring venue, and Mary Grace & Steven’s wedding day did not fall short. Their black and white aesthetic was classic and elegant. For their stationery suite, we took a more traditional approach – but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t personal and unique.
Mary Grace’s bridesmaids wore long black gowns while Stephen’s groomsmen were in classic black tuxedos. It was the perfect choice to let Mary Grace’s all-beaded wedding gown really shine.
Line drawn botanicals added a special touch to each card in their wedding paper. We also incorporated venue sketches into a custom map, hand-painted with metallic gold highlighting the directions from ceremony to reception. We used alternating black and white paper for a stark contrast, with a traditional gold wax seal to tie in the map and the gold-leaf edging.
Their day-of pieces carried everything through into their ceremony programs, menus, and signage. Tented cards adorned with a matching wax seal escorted guests to their seats, while every little sign was crafted with care using the same style and illustrations as their invitation suite. This wedding day was a perfect example of how a cohesive paper suite from start to finish elevates your wedding day to another level of class and sophistication.
Beyond all of the beauty and grace that this day was made of, the air was abundant with love. Watching these two families come together as one was truly an honor, and I’ll forever cherish the memories of their day from my time as a planner.
