Bursting with color, Laura + Brian’s wedding day was a spirited representation of their love story. Honestly, it might be the greatest meet-cute I’ve heard:
“Laura had just finished dinner with a friend in Philly and they were looking for a cab at the corner of 13th and Chestnut. At that very moment Brian rolled up on his bike and asked Laura for directions to the bar the was trying to find to meet up with his friends. After Laura gave him directions and got into the cab, she turned to her friends and said “He’s cute, should I ask him for his number?” to which she got and enthusiastic “YES!” So Laura rolled down the window and yelled “Can I have your number?!” Brian looked surprised but then the cab started to drive away so he quickly said “ You give me yours!” and Laura yelled her number out the window of the cab as it drove away. Brian remembered the number and texted Laura later that night. They met for drinks the next day, and the rest is history!”
In their save the dates, invitation suite, and day-of signage, we really wanted to capture their playful spirits. Bold floral illustrations full of color were the star of every piece. I also did an alt-color painting of their venue, which turned out totally stunning. I loved getting to play with so many colors and a modern typeface for these. Their main invitations were letterpress printed over the digitally printed vibrant florals, and we finished it off with three of my favorite things: a traditional gold wax seal, a meaningful vintage postage set, and an illustration of their pup, Scout!
We carried the same illustrations through to their day-of signage. It was great to watch everything come to life in such a large-scale way, from their welcome sign to their seating chart. We got to use the Scout illustration again, too, as part of the bar sign, and then we created pressed-flower table numbers that were out of this world.
Seeing the way their floral designs, pressed flower cake, and vibrant decor all came together, I couldn’t ask for a more perfectly cohesive wedding. The invitations and signage were a bold touch to an already stellar event. Laura + Brian – I wish you all the love in the world. May your meet-cute be celebrated for years to come!

From the couple:
“I’m so happy we had the opportunity to work with Amy for our wedding invitations and our day of signage & table numbers (yes ! She does that too!) Amy is thoughtful into making each couples designs personal and unique. She also is really organized, giving you a schedule of the whole process and her portal is really easy to use. An additional benefit to having her create you invitations is that she mails them for you! Which I really appreciated not having to do amongst all of the other wedding planning.
