This suite had ✨allllllll✨ the soft coastal blues. Karissa & Larry were so fun to work with. From our very first meeting, Karissa came with a vision – a watercolor landscape envelope liner, an oyster-shaped reply card, and a focus on blue hydrangeas. Their intimate Cape Cod wedding weekend was a beautiful testament to their love, and I’m honored to have been a part of making their day extra special.
This suite used a wide variety of printing techniques combined with a lot of custom artwork. Alli created some really beautiful spot calligraphy, and I worked on custom watercolors that would be interspersed throughout the design. Digitally printed watercolors, embossed highlights, letterpress text, and some seriously show-stopping sculpted embossed details made this a complex print job with an impactful final product. When Karissa first came to me, she envisioned a custom die-cut oyster reply card and a watercolor landscape envelope liner. Beyond that, I was told hydrangeas and shades of coastal blues were the vibe, and the rest of the suite started to take shape. I knew I wanted to play with texture in this suite, and I was so grateful to Karissa & Larry for entrusting me to get creative and experiment with new ideas.
To further the customization, each invitation suite had individually hand-painted details. The hydrangeas in the monogram were carefully watercolor painted one-by-one, as well as the color palette for the dress code on the details card. When conceptualizing any of my designs, I always think about the guest experience as a primary focus – these are your closest loved ones, the ones you have decided you need by your side as you embark on this special milestone. Show them how much you care about them by putting the extra effort into the pieces they get to keep. With an embossed and die-cut hydrangea wrap, a custom monogram wax seal, handmade touches, a vintage postage set, and texture in every piece –this suite truly had it all.
A small touch that I really loved played into the guest experience even further. In guests’ welcome bags, they received the same die-cut and sculpted emboss oysters from their RSVPs as keepsake ornaments to remember the day. No detail was spared, from water bottle labels to welcome notes, to keep everything cohesive from start to finish. Their linen-printed menus were a perfect touch to their coastal-grandma tablescape, featuring calligraphy place cards and hand-painted custom wax seals. I was also able to design a custom bar-front featuring their monogram, which made an appearance throughout the entirety of the wedding weekend.
A few weeks before the wedding, I got a text from Larry – odd, only because I had been primarily communicating with Karissa via email throughout our time working together. He wanted to do something special for her as a wedding gift for the morning of. We brainstormed some ideas, and we settled on a few custom pieces. These included a custom stationery set for him to write hera letter, adorned with their monogram and a pattern of their watercolor paintings on the back, sealed with their custom wax seal in a beautiful dusty-blue tone. As the main gift, Larry provided some images of their favorite places together, and I hand-painted three bookmarks for Karissa. Bookmarks have since become a favorite offering, something so simple that can be so personal.
I have so much admiration for these two and the love they share. In a funny coincidence, a couple of weeks before the big day, my husband and I were at a Lumineers concert when I heard someone shout my name – just two rows behind us were Karissa & Larry! These two are the sweetest. They also hung all of their original artworks in their home, and our final project together was their custom pressed-flower framed invitation. Karissa sent me a polaroid of the two of them from the wedding weekend to include, which I thought was just the perfect touch. I love how their keepsake turned out, and their entire suite is a project I’ll always hold close.
Congratulations K&L, I know you’ll have the most amazing life together.

From the couple:
“Amy perfected every single detail for our wedding. From the beginning, she had so many ideas and options we couldn’t have even imagined. Throughout the whole process, she was friendly, professional, and organized. Her work is excellent and she works hard to make your exact vision come to life. Throughout the weekend, our guests were amazed by intentional and thoughtful details Amy created for us. We loved every detail she created and we’re happy that we were able to purchase original artwork from her to hang in our home as another memory of this special day. We would recommend her to anyone looking to elevate the guest experience right from the invite all the way through the wedding day.”
