Dark & Moody

A gorgeous Greek model, a unique venue, and dark, moody tones all came together to make this styled wedding a reality. The idea was to break away from the pastel trend and showcase the beauty of a deep color palette. Most couples veer away from using black in their wedding, but there is something so rich and romantic about going against the norm.

When a group of amazing vendors work seamlessly together, something magical happens. Getting the chance to collaborate with our top-preferred vendors is always such a creative experience. With this styled shoot, we set out to produce a moody and romantic vibe while showcasing some of our best talents. We created a gold foil stationery suite and tied it into the decor with gold calligraphy place settings to set the tone. Black taper candles meet with rich greenery and full blooms, creating a lush tablescape. Black lace detailing in the invitations inspired SLB Cakes to design a stunner unlike any wedding cake you’ve ever seen, and Event Florals by Christine adorned every detail with beautful open blooms.

Illusion backs and sleek silhouettes are all the rage right now, but there is something just so dreamy about a ballgown. The Dress Matters provided this absolutely gorgeous piece. The ruffles, the deep neckline, the movement and flow — we couldn’t have found a more romantic dress for Effe. She looked stunning, and her oversized flower crown completed this look.

The Sage Farmhouse was the perfect option, and we couldn’t have been more taken by its charm. The space has so much character, and it lends itself to a quaint, unique event. Intimate weddings are becoming more and more popular, and a lot of that comes from a desire for something personal, with the freedom to express yourself. Every couple deserves their dream wedding, whether that’s right on trend or completely out of the box. Vendors don’t have preferred lists just for publicity.
